This backpack to our understanding is the best sample of natural hemp, good finishes, and pure hemp. Genuine and authentic! Fabric grown and billed in Kathmandu Valley does not carry mixed cotton and is 100% organic.
With this backpack, we certainly help the farmers and small local workshops of the Valley. A fact of which we are proud to be able to do so. Hemp fabric is made with a manual wood weaver, it is a fabric highly appreciated for its strength, durability, and pleasant to the touch.
In Kathmandu, there are 2 qualities of hemp, one more industrial mixed with cotton and this one that is not industrially processed, thick and gross hemp. For us the most authentic! Some of the intertitles are made with the bags used there as rice sacks, making them more waterproof and safe in the face of moisture and rain.
